Per parlare delle tue origini, della tua provenienza o della tua nazionalità in inglese si utilizza il verbo to Be con il lessico relativo ai Paesi e allle nazionalità.

Forma interrogativa
Alla forma interrogativa ci sono due modi di chiedere l'origine. Quando si vuole chiedere la provenienza rispetto a un Paese specifico si utilizza la struttura: Am/Is/Are + soggetto + from + country?
Quando invece si vuole chiedere da dove viene una persona, si aggiunge la parola interrogativa Where nella struttura: Where + Am/Are/Is + soggetto + from?

Un'altra maniera per esprimere la provenienza è indicare la propria nazionalità con il verbo to Be in forma affermativa, negativa e interrogativa, utilizzando a discrezione anche le rispettive forme contratte.
