Present Perfect - just, already, yet, since e how long

Il Present Perfect si usa per indicare un'azione che è iniziata nel passato e che continua nel presente, dunque che non è ancora terminata. In questa lezione vedrai quali avverbi di tempo accompagnano questo tempo verbale.

Info 1: Just

Just significa "appena" e si usa nelle frasi affermative per enfatizzare che un'azione è avvenuta da pochissimo. Just accompagna il Present Perfect nel seguente ordine:

Soggetto + Have/Has + just + Past Participle.

Esempio

I have just said that!

L'ho appena detto!

He has just finished reading that book.

Lui ha appena finito di leggere quel libro.

Info 2: Already

Already significa "già" e si usa nelle frasi affermative per far riferimento a un'azione che è già avvenuta.

Soggetto+ Have/Has + already + Past Participle.

Esempio

She has already eaten all the biscuits.

Lei ha già mangiato tutti i biscotti.

The marathon has already started.

La maratona è già iniziata.

Info 3: Yet

Yet significa "ancora" e si usa nelle frasi negative per far riferimento a un'azione che non è ancora avvenuta, e nelle frasi interrogative per sapere se l'azione è già avvenuta.

Soggetto + Have/Has + Past Participle + yet.

Ricorda: Yet si trova sempre alla fine della frase.

Esempio

Have you found a job yet?

Hai già trovato un lavoro?

Andrew hasn't been to Sicily yet.

Andrew non è ancora stato in Sicilia.

Info 4: Since e For

Since e For vengono utilizzati con il Present Perfect e servono a determinare quanto è durata l'azione (For) o quando ha avuto inizio (Since) . Si collocano nella frase nel seguente ordine:

Soggetto + Have/Has + Past Participle + for/since + durata.

Nota: Nelle frasi con For e Since, il Present Perfect si può tradurre il presente indicativo italiano.

Esempio

Tom has studied German for years!

Tom studia il tedesco da anni!

Jason and Amy have lived together since they got married.

Jason ed Amy vivono insieme da quando si sono sposati.

Info 5: How long

How long si usa nelle frasi interrogative per chiedere da quanto tempo è in corso un'azione.

How long + Have/Has + soggetto + Past Participle ?

How long have you been here?

Da quanto tempo sei qui?

How long has she worked on this?

Da quanto tempo ci lavora?
