Saber expresar tu opinión en inglés es muy importante tanto si hablas como si escribes. En esta lección vas a aprender expresiones y frases que puedes utilizar para compartir tu punto de vista.
Info 1: Common phrases
Seguramente ya habrás utilizado algunas de estas frases para expresar tu opinión en inglés. Solo son algunos ejemplos, pero hay muchas más:
Expresiones | Ejemplos |
I think... | I think it is better to stay at home |
I believe... | I personally believe in what you in what you exposed |
I feel... | I feel we are on the right track |
In my opinion... | In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in town |
I would say... | I would say it looks better in this colour |
Info 2: Add strength
Imagina que quieres que tu afirmación suene más convincente. Puedes hacerlo añadiendo un adverbio o un adjetivo (really, strongly, truly...).

I really think it's the best book I've ever read
Info 3: Formal phrases
Y si te encuentras en un contexto más formal, puedes utilizar alguna de estas estructuras:

Info 4: Asking for opinions
Y si ahora es el turno de conocer las opiniones de los demás, no dudes en utilizar algunas de estas expresiones:
PREGUNTA | EJEMPLO |
What do you think of...? | What do you think of having dinner at the Italian restaurant from last time? |
How do you feel about...? | How do you feel about the new boss? |
What is your opinion on...? | What's your opinion on this new season of the series? |
Info 5: Agreeing and disagreeing
Por último, vamos a hablar sobre estar o no de acuerdo. Para mostrar que estás de acuerdo, puedes utilizar frases cortas y claras: "So do I", "Me too", "Definitely", "I agree", "I couldn’t agree more"...
Y si no estás de acuerdo con gente de confianza, puedes utilizar: "I disagree", "I don't agree", "Yes, but...".
Pero en situaciones más formales, estas expresiones anteriores no son del todo adecuadas, es mejor utilizar expresiones como:
- I’m not sure I agree with you on…
- I’m sorry but I don’t agree.
- I’m afraid I disagree.
- You have a point there, but…

Yes, but it is still better to reach a decision on which we can all agree
You have a point there, but maybe it's better not to invest if we're not sure.
I completely agree! I couldn't live far from the beach
