Para pasar a "reported speech" órdenes y peticiones, se emplea esta estructura: Reporting verb + indirect object + To/Not To + verb
Las preguntas formadas con "question words" pasan a "reported speech" sin cambiar el orden de las palabras, es decir, el sujeto se coloca antes del verbo y no es necesario añadir "do" o "did". El "reporting verb" usado es "To Ask", seguido de la "question word" empleada. Por ejemplo, "Where do you live?" pasa a "He asked me where I lived".
El "reported speech" o estilo indirecto se emplea para contar desde tu punto de vista de lo que alguien ha dicho, sin citar sus palabras exactas. Se comienza la oración con un "reporting verb" o verbo introductorio ("To Say" o "To Tell") y los verbos cambian a su forma dando un salto al pasado.
